Prairie Inn Harrier Racewalkers
The Prairie Inn Harrier Racewalkers are an enthusiastic group of recreational and competitive walkers. They train at UVIC track on Wednesday night from 5:30- 6:30 year round. They also compete successfully in local and national sanctioned races. Five of our members have won gold medals in the Canadian Masters and we have 2 Canadian record holders: Iain Maclean and Jan Junker. In 2005 Linda Campbell and Pat Denby won medals in the World Masters Games in Edmonton, Linda Campbell, Jacquie Hughes and Helen Jaques won gold in the BC Masters and Pat Denby also won 2 medals in the Senior games.
The group hosts Racewalk Victoria on the galloping Goose Trail the last Sunday in February each year.
