Harriers New Year's Day Memorial Run/Walk

The annual Harriers New Year's Day 10K run/2K walk on the Elk/Beaver trails honours all Harriers who have passed on.

Meet at the Harriers Memorial Bench at Beaver Lake Park. It's located on the main lake trail, about 100 metres north of the gravel parking lot near the picnic shelter at the far south end of the lake.

The 10K run is a predicted time run. No watches are allowed! The clock starts at 60 minutes and counts down to zero. Start your run when you think you'll finish with clock as close to zero as possible. Closest finisher to zero wins first prize, which is usually some kind of giant fruit plate from a quality local caterer.
