The Tuesday Night Workout (TNW) training sessions start at 5:15 pm at the Cedar Hill Recreation Centre (November to April),  5:15 pm at Mount Douglas Park (May to June), 5:15 pm at Wildcard Locations (July and October), 5:15 pm at Beaver Lake (August and September). Speed and power TNWs take place for one hour every Tuesday night throughout the year.

There are different pace groups; workouts intermix abilities so all groups finish at the same time. All paces are welcome. Each session features a bonus lap for regrouping prior to the cool down run. Feel free to join in any time it fits into your schedule. Come for the run or come for the candies and Gatorade.

The speed sessions were the brainchild of club members Chris Kelsall and Bob Reid in 2002 and were held at Thetis Lake. When the sessions moved to the Cedar Hill Rec. Centre in 2003, Bob designed the workouts; Gary Duncan, Meghan Day, Sylvan Smyth and Claire Townsend led them. The TNW enters its tenth year in 2012 and attracts 20 to 50 runners every week.
